In
the early hours of Saturday the 7th of August, some enthusiastic
Waterford supporters struck deep behind enemy lines. In an attempt to deal the
first blow ahead of the eagerly awaited All-Ireland semi-final, the mischievous
band of Deise followers made their way to Thomastown County Kilkenny, where a
statue of the notorious former Kilkenny hurler was decorated in the Waterford
colours.
